April 6th 1:00am-3:00pm
If you’ve never experienced the exhilaration and joy of a drum circle, now’s your chance! No experience necessary. This free afternoon of drum circle and rhythm fun, facilitated by Katy Gaughan of Tacoma Park’s Music Heals Us, will help you tap into your own rhythm and connect with the rhythms of those around you through the interactive experience of group drumming!
This session includes professional drumming demonstrations, basic hand drum instruction, a drum circle jam session & free-style rhythmic movement. You’ll also make, decorate and take home your own musical “RAIN STICK”!
Brought to you by Janet Maurice of My Circles Of Love, this “playshop” is a part of the Hand Drums and Hula-Hoops for Sandy Hook Project. Learn more at www.mycirclesoflove.wordpress.com
