Drum Circle Facilitators To Volunteer at HealingNewtown

HAND DRUMS & HULA-HOOPS FOR SANDY HOOK
DRUM FACILITATORS ANNOUNCED

IMG_8745-227x300My Circles Of Love is both proud and pleased to announce that Katy Gaughan of Music Heals Us and Lydia Smith of Drumming With Lydia have both volunteered their time and talents to upcoming  HealingNewtown.org workshops.

On April 6th, 2013 Katy Gaughan will lead the afternoon drumming session of Hand Drums & Hula-Hoops for Sandy Hook while Lydia Smith facilitates the May 18th session.

In addition to a fun afternoon of drumming and rhythm exploration, participants will make, embellish, and bring home their own rain sticks.

These FREE drumming workshops are being offered to Sandy Hook & Newtown residents in conjunction with morning Hula-Hoop workshops by bringtheHoopla LLC

DONATING THE GIFT OF MUSIC & RHYTHMIC FUN

Through the support of donated funds from friends and family, My Circles of Love is donating 26 new Kid REMO djembes the the HealingNewtown Center For The Arts. These drums will be used during these, and future drum circle workshops.

In addition to this drum donation, 60 rainsticks will be crafted, embellished and taken home by the April 6th and May 18th workshop participants, as well as 100 professional-grade hoops hand crafted by bringtheHoopla.

PLEASE CONSIDER A TAX DEDUCTIBLE
OR IN-KIND DONATION

Remo Drums & our hoop manufacturer have offered us rock bottom pricing for this special program, and while 26 drums have been purchased to date in honor of those lost in the senseless & tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, we’d like to do more with the help of people like you.

If you would like to help this worthy cause and keep the healing music flowing in Newtown, please contact me for a TAX ID NUMBER.

Have a drum or other gently used rhythm instruments you’d like to donate, please consider contacting me with details.

Small or large, your donation will be put to great use for years to come.

Peace & Thanks

  1. Would you like me to donate hoops? I live on Long Island and I make hoops. I used to live in Newtown and my dearest friend lives in Newtown – this would give me reason to visit her and donate to a great cause. I can make and bring hoops for the April 6th date, but not May 18th. Let me know if I can help.
